Verd Cafe: Manly

Verd is a plant-based café based in Manly. They approached Lamond Projects to build their beautiful new Café in the heart of Manly Corso. The design was done by Liam Mugavin and the space is a modern, sleek, inviting cafe that quickly attracts those passing by.

Verd acquired the space from a hairdressing salon, which meant that a full strip out was required to make the area suitable for a café. Being situated on the Corso in Manly, they were eager to ensure the space would make the most of pedestrian traffic. In light of this, we installed floor to ceiling bi-fold doors and windows, in order to make the space feel open and breezy. Other features of the design included custom timber joinery hung above the bar, polished concrete flooring, and a natural stone benchtop. 

The Lamond Projects team thoroughly enjoyed working with the owners and designer to deliver this beautiful new space in the heart of Manly.

Emanuel Synagogue: Woollahra

Emanuel Synagogue engaged Lamond Projects to complete a large refurbishment of their front entrance.

The original space included an entrance to the synagogue, a small pre-school, brick pavers and minimal garden area. Lamond Projects completely demolished the existing entrance, which totalled approximately 1200 square meters, and created an incredible new entrance to the synagogue.

Sandstone pavers now line the driveway throughout, with a large retaining stone wall at the front entrance that assists the custom metal sliding gate and guard house (complete with bullet proof glass). Over 5000 plants make up the new entrance garden, all of which will stand the test of time and give of a welcoming feeling as visitors arrive to the new entrance.

This project was delivered on a tight timeline and budget, and the team at Lamond Projects were proud to be able to deliver on both. The new space is truly outstanding.

Venroy Flagship Store: Bondi Beach

Lamond Projects were engaged by the team at Venroy to complete a full refurbishment and expansion of their original flagship Bondi Store.

The original shop was located on the ground floor of 94-96 Gould Street, and had a structural dividing wall between itself and a bakery at the rear of the building.  Lamond Projects demolished the structural wall then completely stripped the new 125 square meter space back to the original shell.

The new design of the shop has a modern and sleek feel to it with an abundance of natural light, making it fit into the beachy Bondi culture perfectly. Some of the key features that stand out are:

- Crazy pattern sandstone floor. Slabs of sandstone were broken into different shapes and then laid like tiles with a white sand cement grout.

- Custom joinery and custom feature mirrors with LED lighting

- Floor to ceiling frameless glass, giving a modern and open feel to the store

- Stucco rendered featured walls

The new Venroy store is now the most recognisable fashion shop in Bondi, and is truly a flagship store.
